What is the ROE?
The ROE is the GREAT ALLIANCE book of guidance for intersim combat using spell fire weapons. It is the one source of common information for all Great Alliance sims and players when we participate in Great Alliance battles. It is written by our Game Master Lord Malikith Virtanen.
In the words of our Game Master, "It is the skeleton upon which all other actions are built. It is the Body upon which the Great Alliance hangs its clothing. It is the Soil upon which the Great Alliance farms its crops. It is the Foundation upon which the GA builds its House."
The ROE is NOT a mandate for any GA sim and how it is run internally. That is up to the sim owners.
The ROE also describes all manner of information about how battles are played, and especially the CLASSES, or types of in character careers we may have in battles. If you want to know what a Priest does, or a Paladin or a Mage, the ROE is the place to look. If you want to know the ranks of a class, it is in the ROE.
The ROE describes abilities of players in classes and RACES as well. For example, Necromancers can raise the dead as minions at certain times. Other examples are who can fly, such as Dragons, and Fae, among others..
Lord Malikith Virtanen, the Great Alliance Game Master, offers ROE classes in VOICE for all who wish to attend and learn about the Great Alliance, the Epic roleplay stories, and the new additions or changes coming to the game. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
These classes are offered once or twice a month generally and are about an hour to hour and a half long. Though the day may change, they are typically on Saturday about 10 or 10:30 am. They are announced in advance in the Great Alliance Groups. During ROE classes, Lord Malikith explains a topic and teaches using the Socratic method. Those in attendance ARE WELCOME TO ask questions. (ITS IS PREFERRED THAT ATTENDEES ASK QUESTIONS IN TEXT).
During the ROE classes please remove meters, and as many scripts as you can, as these classes enjoy high attendance.
Respectfully,
Lexie Lukas, GA Magus Emeritus, Lead Judge
